  Some Near Future Goals

  In exactly 35 days I will turn 25.  I’m not happy about the situation but I can’t really help it.  I’m not happy with turning 25 because I’m not exactly thrilled about my current life situation.  To combat and/or distract this feeling I’m making a list of goals I want to achieve in the near future (we’ll say five years). 

  1. Move to a new city/state.  The frontrunners right now are St. Louis, Chicago and Pittsburgh
  2. Get a dog, preferably a Newfie
  3.  Decide on and commit to a career path (as opposed to falling into one like I have been doing)
  4. Piggybacking off of number 3: decide if its necessary to go to grad school and either go or not
  5. Go to a Pittsburgh Penguins home game
  6. Find a church and become an active member
  7. Have a job where its financially possible to visit my family more than once every 1.5 years
  8. Find a home.  By home I mean a place where I am relatively happy, have a stable job, a group of friends that are close to me, and where I can see myself sticking around and eventually settling in.

  That’s it.  Let’s see what I can accomplish by 30.
